Creatures or Living Organisms?

In the presence of this day I read an article on Seed Magazine.com called The Body Politic by Courtney Humphries which asks the question of whether humans are "organisms or living ecosystems" because of "the deep symbiosis between bacteria and their human hosts." The article goes on to explain the question and find the answer in depth. In my opinion humans are both living ecosystems and organisms. The explanation for my thinking is that humans are living ecosystems because they/we host immense and multiplying organisms that form ecosystems of their own that are beneficial to needs of/as an organism.
